“Biological Species Concept” Write for 5 minutes on these points What is the “biological species concept?” How does it relate to the other scientific units in the other realms of science? Describe how having a biological unit of measure is important for evolutionary and ecological scientific research. Describe how through scientific advancement the biological species concept becomes as Wilson calls it “nicked and tarnished (38).” Pick one of the many examples Wilson used and explain its connection to the biological species concept. Turn to partner and share your thoughts or questions. (3 minutes) Select 2 or 3 tidbits to share with the larger group
