Revision! We have now finished the GCSE course! In the next few months you can make a SIGNIFICANT difference to your grade. TASK: Write your name large on your GCSE booklet and inside your plastic wallet. We will now put any further work in here as it will directly be revision. However, bring all your exercise books in to refer to. Go through GCSE booklet, order in which we will revise.

Immigration Mock Exam…… Use a green pen to annotate how you could have improved here.

Key Immigration Points….. Many immigrants came over to the U.K in WWII and were generally well received. By the late 50s and early 60s the number of immigrants increased and so did hostility toward them. There was the famous Enoch Powell Rivers of Blood speech. The Notting Hill riots etc. also added to tensions. However, many did defend the immigrants in the riots. Also, the immigrants gave much to the society overall.

Immigration in WWII Cut and then Complete your flash cards (for A grade look through sources as well for extra evidence). We will do a quiz at the end – there are prizes! Next lesson apply learning to exam Qs.

Homework! Bring in/buy your own flash cards. Make no more than 3 flash cards on Immigration from the Caribbean, p451-3.
