Parallel Sentence Structure

What is it? “And” is a coordinating conjunction that joins things of equal importance. Noun and noun Verb and verb Phrase and phrase Clause and clause Sentences must be parallel. This occurs when “and” is used properly to join things of equal importance. There is a lack of parallel structure when “and” joins different things. Noun and verb Verb and phrase Etc. The biggest cause is when “who” or “which” are used in a sentence without a preceding (or following) “who” or “which.”
