Plot review: Chapter 1 & 2 What is Old Major's legacy to the animals? Are the animals liberal or conservative? Why? Speculate on what might have happened to the first buckets of milk? Implications of this? What do your speculations foreshadow? How is nascent power affecting the pigs?

Plot review: Chapter 2 Are the wild animals determined to be friends or foes? Why? Describe each of the two pigs who were emerging as leaders. What had the pigs taught themselves to do? What were the catalysts for rebellion? What animal committed the first rebellious act? What did that character do? What does Mollie symbolically represent?
