The Impact of the Empire on Scotland Starter: What good and bad things did immigration and the Empire bring to Scotland?

Background As we know, many people came from Ireland, Italy and other parts of Europe to start a new life in Scotland 1830-1939 These people had a large impact on the development of; Scottish Society – who the Scots were and the groups that made up the Nation Culture – Sport, Art, Music, food Economy – The finances and job market of Scotland

The Impact of the Empire on Scotland Presentation You are going to make a presentation on the impact immigration had to these three areas of Scottish life: You must refer to all Immigrant groups (Irish Catholics & Protestants, Jews, Lithuanians, Italians) You must cover the positive and negative impact they had in each area You should reach an overall conclusion re. the impact immigration had on Scotland You should show evidence of: Consultation of more than one source (PPs on Blog, Textbook Chapter 5), online sites Awareness of Historian’s views on the topic These will be assessed and presented to the class.
