Presentation transcript:

Substitute work You are to work individually on all written assignments. Assignments which show evidence of being copied will receive zeroes. You are to return all “The Possibility of Evil” work to the substitute before you leave class today. You are to behave yourself in a manner befitting my students. You may have a green zone while working individually IF the substitute gives permission. I take it personally when you are disrespectful to the substitute. I have plenty of time to call home on Monday and Tuesday to speak with parents about rude students.

Bellringer Nov. 20 In your notebook, write the question and the response: What would be an appropriate punishment in today’s culture for a person like Miss Strangeworth who is so mean to others?

Today’s Honors Agenda If you didn’t finish “The Possibility of Evil” for homework, like you were assigned, you need to finish it and the questions today. Answer the LESSON QUESTION for “The Possibility of Evil” When you are finished, read “A Rose for Emily” and answer the reading questions. ALL WORK IS INDIVIDUAL. Assignments which show evidence of copying or “group” thought will receive zeroes. Turn in “The Possibility of Evil” questions and Lesson Question response to the substitute. It is due today. You may not take it home. KEEP YOUR SEIZE THE DAY notes for chapters 5-6. I will collect them on Dec. 1 when the entire book is due.

HOMEWORK: Finish reading “A Rose for Emily” by William Faulkner and complete the reading guide for the story. If you aren’t sure of the answers, make a logical guess. Be prepared for a reading test on “A Rose for Emily” the day we come back after Thanksgiving. Finish reading Seize the Day for Dec. 1.
