Mclass Home connect letters will go home on Friday. There may be a change in your child’s reading level from what it was in 1st grade for a variety of reasons. Some students may have gone up in their level, others went down a level or two. Some reasons for this: their accuracy, oral comprehension question responses, written question responses, etc. Overall, the class needs to work on written comprehension. Your child’s reading group will work on a level that your child can read with accuracy and comprehend. Baggie books can be kept home from Monday until Friday. They will need to fill out the reading log each night and answer the question. This response should be in a sentence. Letterland homework is List A, (not B or C). Students should review all words! BYOD will be on Tuesday. Please go ahead and make sure your device has a QR code reader to start with. Students need to be familiar with how to access their WIFI as I cannot touch their device. Students must have the contract signed even if they will not be bringing devices. Family Fitness Night-August 16th 6-7pm Early Release-August 19th School Pictures: August 25-information to come. Boosterthon-Sept 2-more info to come “Honeybee….What are you learning?” Reading: I am learning about the structure of stories-character, setting, problem, solutions. Writing: I am learning how to do “small moment” writing. Math: I am learning how to fluently add within 20. I am learning about the relationship between subtraction and addition. Social Studies: I am learning about our government.
