What are COMPOSITE NUMBERS? Any number that has factors other than 1 and itself…….. Example: 15 is a composite number. The factors of 15 are 1, 3, 5, and 15. Example 2: 100 is a composite number. The factors of 100 are 1, 2, 4, 5, 10, 20, 25, 50, 100.
What are PRIME NUMBERS? Any numbers whose factors are ONLY 1 and that number itself… Example: 11 is a prime number. Its factors are 1 and 11. Example2: 31 is a prime number. Its factors are 1 and 31.
