Lesson 1 – Contrasts and Contradictions Michael scowling to impress girls Victor thinks it is foolish; however, he begins to scowl too in order to impress Teresa (shows desperate, yearning)

Lesson 2 – Aha Moments p. 42 “rosebushes of shame became bouquets of love” He was worried that Teresa wouldn’t like him—kept stressing over it Goes to library to get textbooks to study so that they can be study partners

Lesson 3 – Tough Questions Inner Dialogue p. 38 scowling makes him handsome or noticed? Constantly shows his doubt of himself p. 40 searching for teresa shows reader that she is always on his mind, really likes her, doesn’t know how to approach her

Lesson 4 – Words of the Wiser

Lesson 5 – Again and Again Word lingered, scowled, embarrassed, blushing….
