Quickwriting Rules: Rules: Write continuously for the designated amount of time, never stopping or pausing. Purpose: Helps students explore ideas Helps students focus thought Reduces anxiety

Discuss the concept of “No ONE of us is as strong as ALL of us together” with students. It’s not about one person’s needs or wants; it’s about pulling together and supporting one another through good times and bad. Take out a sheet of paper and write for four minutes about the following: What needs to be in place in the AVID classroom so that each student feels supported, respected and comfortable enough to take personal and academic risks?
