Romanticism Also known as the Romantic Era It was an artistic, literary, musical and intellectual movement Originated in Europe toward the end of the 18th century it was at its peak approximately from 1800 to 1850. Due to the idealism of the French Revolution, Romanticism embraced the struggles for freedom and equality and the promotion of justice.
