Managing Impulsivity

Do have what it takes to maintain self-control? Self Control assists you in making sound decisions. When you are faced with a situation: Do you view the scenario from a balanced perspective? Are you calm? Are you easy to annoy or rouse into action? Are you determined not to react in ways that you will regret? Are you confident that others’ wills cannot break your resolve? Do you have the will power to THINK when all you want to do is REACT?

Can You Control Your Own Desires? To exhibit self-control you must: Be able to see what you desire and choose to resist To exhibit self-control: You must refuse to let others dictate your actions and behavior

When you faced with a testy situation… Do you just have to have the last word? Do you have to respond to someone who says something to you? Must you “check” someone who is out of line? Do you have to correct someone you overhear?
