my, to Week of: October 13 – 17, 2014 We’ve Been Busy A Look at Next Week… Phonetic Connection: r, Ss, Tt, Uu Reading: Three Billy Goats Gruff, Goldilocks and the Three Bears Writing: Narrative Writing Unit Studies: Pumpkins Math: Introduce hexagon and numbers 6-7 This week, we practiced asking questions after reading the text Who’s in the Shed. We learned the story of Five Little Pumpkins and explored different types of pumpkins. In unit studies, we recorded what we know about pumpkins! In math, we reviewed skills and completed our report card assessments. Important Dates Words of the Week October 22-23: Parent Teacher Conferences (4-7pm) October 24: Pumpkin Patch October 30: Monster Bash Literacy Night (5:30pm) my, to What Can You Do at Home? Visit our Website Please make sure you have called to schedule a parent/teacher conference!! These will be held from 4 – 7 pm on October 22 and 23 of next week. Also, field trip permission forms were sent home last Friday. Please sign and return these with the admission fee(s). These are due by the 22nd! Thank you for your help in this.
