Assignment: Finish page 2 of the quotation notes using the following quotations. They are not in order as written here. You must determine which note explains each quotation and write it in the correct place. Fill in the blank on #3. Also, add the word “Paradox” to the quotation that begins “Lesser than Macbeth and greater.” Banquo questions whether evil beings (such as the witches) are capable of speaking truth. (distrust) Banquo comments that sometimes evil beings (such as the witches) use small truths to earn people’s trust so that they can then mislead them into an evil trap. (distrust) Macbeth doesn’t understand why he’s been given the title of thane of Cawdor since he thinks the thane of Cawdor still lives.
