Poetry Notes Prose poetry - a poem which is written in sentences and paragraphs Free Verse - poetry that does not rhyme or have a regular meter. Stream of Consciousness - It aimed at expressing in words the flow of a character’s thoughts and feelings in their minds. Syntax - the arrangement of words and phrases to create well-formed sentences in a language. Dramatic Monologue – a poem or speech in which a character addresses a silent listener at a critical point in the speaker’s life.
