AP Language I-day I can identify which skills I need to work more on. I can collaborate with peers to improve my learning.

Agenda Hand out grade reports and prioritize remediation Hand back assessments: summer reading, rhetorical triangle, and main idea Intervention groups: choose one based on your feedback

Pass back grade reports and work: As I pass back work, look carefully at feedback. This will help you determine which skill you need to focus on today.

Remediation Stations Based on data from assessments, there are 3 major skills people need to focus on right now: Identifying author’s purpose Identifying author’s main idea Identifying and explaining ethos Choose one of these stations based on the feedback you receive and work with your group to complete the lesson and extra practice.

Re-testing to improve IC grades: Once you have successfully completed a remediation lesson and extra practice, you may schedule a re-test for that skill. You must give at least 24 hours notice for re-tests if you are staying after school You may re-test with Ms. Holt at ESS on Thursday mornings in lab 115 from 7:50-8:20, but you must let your teacher know ahead of time (especially if you don’t have Ms. Holt).
