Mrs. Sirkin’s Steps to Success

Be Punctual and Present Be on time. Have your materials on your desk, ready to go. Class starts when the bell rings. Be in your seat. Be here! You will have makeup work to do, and it is easy to get behind.

Be Prepared You will need your textbook everyday. Bring it! You will need a folder or binder to keep notes, quizzes, and calendars in. Lab Notebook. When we do a lab, we will be using a notebook. Buy extra if you can. Calculator, ear buds, and colored pencils. If you don’t have one, you’ll have to do the LONG math….boo! Bring something to write with such as a pencil or pen.

Be a Participant Athletes don’t get good by only watching video. Time goes faster…trust me! Studies show that people who are active in class understand material better and teachers help them more often

Be Positive Nobody like to be around someone negative all the time. Be respectful of teachers, students, and equipment Be respectful of yourself. You are a scientific marvel.

Consequences Asked once Sent to the hall Conduct slip/Referral – See Discipline Plan Detention/Principal’s office After too many missing assignments, you can be assigned a lunch detention.
