If anyone is committing a robbery and is caught, then he shall be put to death.

If a fire breaks out in a house and someone who comes to put it out first casts his eye upon the property of the owner of the house, and takes the property of the master of the house, he shall be thrown into that same flame.

If a man’s wife be surprised with another man, both shall be tied and thrown into the water, but if the husband pardons his wife then the king must pardon the man.

If a son strike his father, his hands shall be hewn off.

If a man put out the eye of another man, his eye shall be put out.

If a man strike a free-born woman so that she lose her unborn child, he shall pay 10 shekels for her loss.

If the finger is pointed at a man’s wife about another man, but she is not caught sleeping with another man, she shall jump into the river for the sake of her husband.

If anyone be too lazy to. keep his dam in proper If anyone be too lazy to keep his dam in proper condition and does not so keep it; if the dam then breaks & all the fields be flooded, then he who’s dam broke shall be sold for money and the money shall replace the corn which he caused to ruin.
