1st Week of Advent Sunday 3rd December 2017

Our Offering for the Day Oh my God, I give to you all that I think or say or do. All my work and all my happy play I will give to you today. Amen.

Our School Prayer Father God, protect us, Keep us safe at school each day. Jesus Christ, be with us in our work and in our play. Holy Spirit, guide us, Keep our hope and vision high. Give us faith, fun and friendship As we learn, love and fly.

Candle Prayer Dear Lord Jesus We light this candle to remind us That you are the light of the world. As we come together now To pray and to praise May you remove all darkness From our hearts and minds. Amen

The Advent Wreath The first candle is for the Patriarchs. Lord Jesus, Light of the world, born in David’s city of Bethlehem, born like him to be a king: Be born in our hearts at Christmas, be King of our lives today.

Alleluia Alleluia, Alleluia! Listen to Jesus. Do what he tells you. Open your hearts today. Alleluia!

Peace be with you And also with you The Gospel – Mark 13:33 - 37 Peace be with you And also with you

Be on watch; be alert, for you do not know when the time will come. The Gospel – Mark 13:33 - 37 Be on watch; be alert, for you do not know when the time will come.

The Gospel – Mark 13:33 - 37 It will be like a man who goes away from home on a trip and leaves his servants in charge, after giving to each one his own work to do and after telling the doorkeeper to keep watch.

The Gospel – Mark 13:33 - 37 Watch, then, because you do not know when the master of the house is coming—it might be in the evening or at midnight or before dawn or at sunrise.

The Gospel – Mark 13:33 - 37 If he comes suddenly, he must not find you asleep. What I say to you, then, I say to all: Watch!”

Prayers of the faithful Lord in your mercy, Hear our prayer

The Lord’s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever.   Amen
