Chief Executive Voicemails Why are they too busy to answer the phone?!?

Your Task… If you called the leaders of Cuba, Brazil, & Mexico, what would their answering machine message say? Create a voicemail message for Castro, Calderon, and Rousseff. (3 messages total!) Use the information from your chart to create an accurate voicemail for what the leader could be doing. You may use this prompt: “Hello. This is the voicemail of ________. Sorry I’m not able to answer my phone right now. I’m busy ______________________________________.”

Want to See Some Examples? The next 3 slides are examples. Please do not copy them! Use your chart and notes to create your own “factual” voicemail messages. You may choose to write your messages in PowerPoint form or on a Word document.

Brazil – President Rousseff Ola! You have reached the voicemail of President Rousseff of Brazil. I cannot come to my phone right now because I am out making sure that all 18-70 year olds are registered to vote. I should be able to return your call as soon as I contact all of these citizens and discuss the possible fines for not voting in the next election. Have a nice day!

Cuba – General Castro Why are you calling me? I probably won’t listen to what you have to say unless you’re a member of the Cuban Communist Party. Quit calling me.

Mexico – President Caldron Hola! You have reached the voicemail of President Felipe de Jesus Caldron. Your call is very important to me. After all, we live in a democracy where the people have rights! I will call you back as soon as I return from my trip to Chiapas to speak with the Zapatistas.
