In our study of geography, SWBAT describe geographic features and determine the impact the geography has on settlements by examining maps and atlases to gather details for drawing conclusions in a chart and by creating a foldable. NCSCOS 6G

Vocab: Based on the definition, the map and the video, explain why those two Greeks roots were joined to create the term topography. The term topography comes from the Greek words topos which means "place" and graphō which means "write". The Greek words topos and grapho were used to make the word topography because it means to examine _____________________ and ________________________ about it.
