THE NATION OF CHRISTIANS

A CHRISTIAN IS A TRUE DISCIPLE OF CHRIST. Individual believers who adhere to the way of Christ. Acts 11:26; 26:28; 1 Peter 4:16 “So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, ‘If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine.’” (John 8:31)

GOD RULES OVER ALL NATIONS. The Ancient of Days rules over all powers (Daniel 2:20-23; 4:17). Governments have a role to fill which will be judged. Authorities have been established by God (Romans 13:1-7). Pray about civil authorities (1 Timothy 2:1-2).

GOD CHOSE THE NATION OF ISRAEL TO BE A SPECIAL PEOPLE FOR HIS PURPOSE. God’s promise to Abram (Genesis 12:2). God called Abraham’s descendants to be a holy nation (Exodus 19:5-6; Deuteronomy 7:6). God’s Messiah is the blessing unto all nations (Galatians 3:8, 26-27).

GOD’S NATION TODAY IS THE KINGDOM OF CHRIST’S FAITHFUL FOLLOWERS. The Gospel calls men into the Son’s kingdom of light (Colossians 1:13). 2 Corinthians 6:16, 17; 2 Thessalonians 2:13 Redemption from sin is so God can purify a people for His possession (Titus 2:14). God’s saints who are scattered all over the world are God’s holy nation (1 Peter 2:9-10). The USA is not a nation of Christians.
