Explain why did you choose them? I have always love most sports, but I love to run. That’s something most people do not know about me! I’m sure we all ran races as children. Unfortunately, I was injured at age 7. I would never be able to race competitively. I moved on to participating, coaching and watching other sports. I was overjoyed when Pitt County added Track & Field to it Spring Sports. Mr. Robert Brown brought it to E. B. Aycock Middle School. He was assisted by Coach Dennis Gibson from Junius H. Rose High School. Several of my sons ran like Geo Williams, Keynote’ Goodman, Dexter McDuffie and Emannuel Lewis along with several of my daughters too! Dexter signed with UNC (Charlotte) and Emannuel signed with UNC (Pembroke) both for full Track & Field Scholarships! (2018)

MY PERSONAL CONNECTION! I was fortunate to be able to attend Dexter McDuffie’s first college track meet in Winston-Salem at JDL Fast Track arena. He placed 2nd in his race. He came in behind on of his own teammates. ( Not bad for a Freshman!) I was very proud of him.
