A different perspective PPT 2 – drawing in one point perspective
Today’s objectives We will take what we learned in the classroom last week and use it to draw in real life! We will discuss the rules of one point perspective and plan our drawing before we start. Then we will learn about 2 point perspective and draw our own city!
This picture shows one point perspective…who would like to come and put their finger on the vanishing point? Task 1 Take your sketchbooks, a ruler and something to lean on, and draw the view down the corridor.
Two Point Perspective Two point perspective occurs when you are facing the corner of something – a building, a street, a box…anything where you can see two sides of the object at the same time.
Task 2 You must draw your own cityscape in two point perspective. You must have the following details: At least 7 buildings Windows Doorways Signs and advertising An elevated walkway between two buildings An intersection Trees, people and vehicles Remember! All vertical lines stay vertical all horizontal lines go to one of the vanishing points
Homework Complete and colour your cityscape. Take a photo of one point and two point perspective, print these out and stick them in your skecthbooks
