Presentation transcript:

In 2010 there was 52 wind farms in australia most of them had turbines of them 1.5 to three megawatts the capacity in 2010 was 1,880 megawatts you make wind by the turbines being pushed around by the wind then the power of the turbines create power. When the wind pushes the wings around it creates electricity which is stored and is to be used when need

pure water does not conduct electricity. Any impurities, like salts, in the water enable it to conduct electricity. When salts are dissolved in water, they separate into different electrically charged atoms called ions. Salt, or sodium chloride breaks up into positive ions and negative If you place a battery with a negative pole and a positive pole into water, the negative ions will be attracted to the positive pole and the positive ions will be attracted to the negative pole thus creating a closed circuit

Tidal power is generated from the ocean's tides. There are three forms of energy available in the ocean tides such as wave energy, tidal energy and thermal energy. Among these, tide energy is used successfully to generate power. When high tide comes to the shore, they can be captured in a reservoir and when the tide lowers the captured water can be released from the reservoir back to ocean. It works similar to hydroelectric power plant where the gravity force of falling or flowing water is used to rotate a turbine.

Tidal power is better because it uses water and it is move natural and is always constant where as it could be hot day with no wind so we have no electricity wear as the will be water all the time so I belive water is the better use for electricity
