Here is one way to think of your hands: 12 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 How can I remember which hand to start with when reading a clock? Here is one way to think of your hands: Small Big Hour Minute Explain to the students that a seedling is small but then grows into a big tree. The same with our hands we have to start with the small one and then it grows into the big hand. (Make the correlation between the numbers as well we start on the inside and “grow” to the outside.)
