INDIANS AND COWBOYS by

The myth about the cowboy started in Texas.

There was high price of beef up North for the cowboys

Today there are around 35,000 Aphache people living in Arizona, and Mexico,

The Aphache tribe main source of food was buffalo

The Cherokee Indians were a very large Native American tribe

Over 5,000 Cherokee men and women died in the 1800's when the forced them to leave their homelands and move back to Oklahoma.

The French named them the Iroquois, but they called themselves the Haudenosaunee which means the People of the Longhouse.

The Iroquois lived in longhouses The Iroquois lived in longhouses. These were long rectangular buildings made with wood frames and covered with bark.
