Chemical Compounds Compound- Two or more elements combined together.

Two different types of compounds: Organic compounds: contain carbon and hydrogen together. Ex: C6H12O6 (glucose) Inorganic compounds: do not contain carbon and hydrogen together. Ex: CO2 (carbon dioxide)

Importance of Water Water is the most abundant substance in living things. It is essential for the life functions of the cell. Important for many chemical reactions.
