Information for Pupils Senior Phase 2019 - 20 Information for Pupils

Time scale: Wk Beg 25th February Tracking Report 25th February Parents’ info evening Wk Beg 25th February PSE – distribution of materials and coursing information. 8th March Pupils return completed choice form to School Office 11th March Interviews begin for pupils

Pupils will receive: Tracking Report with recommendations Senior choice of course booklet Choice of course form Notes on how to complete choice sheet

College (Schools Academy) Courses Variety of courses offered in Column D (Tue/Thu) Check that course is available to your Year Group Must make 2nd choice as backup More info on college leaflet, website or from Pastoral staff Application form online completed with Pastoral staff by 25 April Borders College / QMU

Choice Sheet: Read Notes and Handbook carefully Check recommendations in the Tracking Report Make a first choice and a second choice in each appropriate column

S6 Core Senior School and Community Learning This year there are a range of activities in the school service column which you would be involved in. The range of options means that each pupil will be able to develop an individualised programme to meet their needs. These include: Membership of S6 Committees Volunteering (which includes registration for a Saltire Award) Classroom support Work experience Leadership of whole school activities, such as pupil focus groups Assisting with whole school events, such as parents evenings YPI Wider Community Projects ‘Time for Reflection’ activities
