Warm-Up: Success and Failure At the beginning of Ch. 10, what are the successes of Animal Farm? How is each one taken away by the end of the chapter?

Create Propaganda Step 1: Draw a slip out of the cup. There will be something unpleasant written on there. Step 2: Use the techniques from the “Building a Dictatorship” notes, come up with a slogan (1-3 sentences) that puts this unpleasant thing in a positive light. Step 3: List which technique or techniques you use, and explain how you use it.

Propaganda Mini-Conference Meet with all the people who have the same topic for their propaganda. Decide who has the best slogan, write it on your paper and why it is the best. Send a representative to write it on the board.

Notebooks are DUE Next Class Check the table of contents online and make sure yours is up to date. All items must be clearly labeled and in order. If you turn it in, with ALL items, TODAY, you will receive 5 bonus points. These will not count on incomplete or disorganized journals.
