Aberration (n.) A behavior that is different from the normal pattern that is typically unwelcomed The outward violence toward the teacher was an unexpected act of aberration.

Construe (v.) To interpret or analyze The class tried to construe the teacher’s speech about responsibility, but there was too much sarcasm in the way.
