Dissociative Amnesia

Psychological Disorder in which the individual loses his or her memory. The loss of time could be for hours or days, and in the most extreme cases weeks or months.

Symptoms include loss of time,, and memory. Some people with this disorder also might appear confused and suffer from depression and/or anxiety

Dissociative Amnesia is normally induced by a severely traumatic life event such as, war, physical abuse, and even emotional abuse. There also may be a genetic link, due to the fact that quite often those who are diagnosed with dissociative amnesia usually have close relatives with the disorder as well.
