Background Born in Epsom, Surrey, England on May 23 1952 Parr wanted to become a documentary photographer from the age of fourteen. He follows in his grandfather foot steps, George Parr, an amateur photographer and fellow of the Royal Photographic Society, as an early influence. He married Susan Mitchell and they have one child, Ellen Parr. He studied Photography at Manchester Polytechnic.

Why? I’m going to focus on Martin Parr’s more recent work. The Rhubarb triangle, he went around a bunch of rhubarb business capturing every aspect from the back breaking work of moving the product from field to shed all the way to tourist picking some up at the market. His next album captures the food from a book called Real Food. It’s pretty much a bunch food from many different places. My personal favorite Unseen City because it captures the city of London and it’s people. People usually don’t remember a family in ponchos but Martin Parr thought it was interesting because he captured unseen moments.
