What we already know…. The Water Cycle summarizes the role that water plays in our environment.

Background Information What is a watershed? A watershed is all of the land that drains runoff (from precipitation) into a body of water.

Background Information What is a watershed? A watershed is defined by highpoints and ridgelines that descend into lower elevations and stream valleys. A watershed carries water "shed" from the land after rain falls and snow melts.

Modeling a watershed You will work with one table partner to create a model of a watershed. Each person is required to submit a lab worksheet. We will walk through a few steps together and then you will guide yourselves.
