A letter to myself

What: We’re going to be writing letters to ourselves. You’ll turn them in to me (if they’re confidential, then I don’t have to read them) and I’ll give them back to you at the end of the year.

Why: Setting goals gives you focus and motivation. Also, when you take stock of your life, you’ll be more aware of it when things change. It’ll be interesting to see how much you’ve changed over the course of a year!

How: On the sheet of paper, write a letter to your future self with the following things (and anything else you’d like to add): 1. What your fears about the school year are 2. Two goals that you hope you accomplish this year 3. What you are excited about for this year 4. What you want to do when you graduate from high school 5. A positive message to future you
