Presentation transcript:

Me, myself and I “Getting along with others” Learning intention: ‘to identify people skills and the behaviours that turn people off’

What are some of the skills of getting along well with others? Do these skills differ according to the age of people and their relationship to you? What does it mean to have a ‘good personality’? Can you teach someone to have a good personality?

With a partner... Write your five most important pieces of advice to younger students about good ways to get along well with classmates at school

Task #1 Complete the people skills quiz

Task #2 Create a 1 minute skit around 1 or 2 skills drawn from the hat Write out the plan in your book and include everyone at your table

Task #3 Task #4 Refer to the sheet ‘What turns people off’ In groups, rank the items from biggest turn-off to the mildest turn-off Task #4 Write, act or put together an advertising campaign (‘all tongue in cheek’) on ‘how to turn people off’.
