Reminders 9/20/17 - Othello Quiz, Acts I & II – today, 9/19 *If you would like to keep your project, please take it home today. After school, I will dispose of them. I have taken pictures of many of them to use as examples for future classes!  HW: Finish Act III, Scene 3 (whatever we don’t finish of this scene in class)

Read and Think: Write About It: There was a scurrying around and then eight of them snatched up their guns, formed into twos, and marched out behind the office. He wheeled his horse about and trotted toward me. I jumped back and plunged for the tavern doorway. -- James Lincoln Collier and Christopher Collier, My Brother Sam is Dead 1. Look at the underlined word (snatched) in the first sentence. Notice how clearly you can “see” the action because of that strong verb. How would it change the meaning of the sentence if it read…eight of them picked up their guns? 2. What does the use of the word plunged in the third sentence tell you about the narrator’s attitude toward the other characters in this passage?

othello Quick Recap of TED Talk Quiz, Acts I & II Quick Recap of Act III, Scenes 1 & 2 Read Act III, Scene 3 (whatever we don’t finish in class – finish at home!)
