5.2.a Geometric Constraints

Learning Objectives Understand and be able to summarize the different constraints in Inventor Apply constraints in completing an exercise on constraints

Open Inventor and Get out your notes Constraints allow you to restrict the location and size of shapes in your drawing. Using Inventor’s built in help you will summarize the Constraint tools available in your notes. Be prepared to give a brief summary of the constraints to the class.

Constraint Tools Dimension Automatic Dimensions and Constraints Show Constraint Coincident Collinear Concentric Fix Parallel Perpendicular Horizontal Vertical Tangent Smooth Symmetric Equal Constraint Tools

5.2.a Constraint Activity Complete activity ‘5.2a.A Geometric Constraints.docx’ You will also be using the Inventor file 5.2.a.A.SRGeometric Constraints You will need to turn in both the Word document and the CAD file
