NZ Science, Mathematics and Technology Teacher Fellowships 1.For teachers to gain new and up-to-date knowledge which will enhance teaching and learning. 2.To develop leadership capacity in early and mid career teachers. 3.To give teachers the opportunity to experience how science, mathematics and technology are used outside teaching.

How are Teacher Fellows Selected? All applications are sent to independent panels for assessing There are two separate assessments – the Project (33%) – the Applicant (66%) All aspects of the application are rated on a scale, including timeline, level of host support, subject suitability, objectives, benefits to students, benefits to hosts, likelihood of remaining in the profession, contribution to teaching etc. Referees reports are scrutinized The top 15 applicants are offered fellowships
