What is multi ethnic society

KEY WORDS Prejudice – believing some people are inferior or superior without even knowing them. Discrimination – Putting prejudice into practice and treating people less favourable because of their ethnicity/race/gender/class/colour. Racism-The belief that some ethnic groups are superior/inferior to others.

Benefits of living in a multi ethnic society There is less chance of war because people of different races and nationalities will get to know and like each other They tend to progress more quickly because people bring in new ideas and new ways of doing things. Life is more interesting with much greater variety of food,music,fashion and entertainment
