True or false Conrad stays after school or an event? Conrad thinks he would of made the swim team worse if he would of played? Conrad fight with Lazenby? Stillman gives Conrad his keys and books to him? Conrad things he deserves a punishment?

Summery Conrad stays after school to watch the swim meet and sees that their team is loosing. He feels regret thinks, he could of helped. In the parking lot he was talking to lazenby, when stillman comes and starts making unnecessary comments, Conrad gets worked up and they begin to fight. Conrad goes to his car, and lazenby joins him minutes later, lazenby questions their friendship and points out that Conrad is not the only one hurting. Conrad goes home and begins to think about his punishment.

Quote “He will allow him no comfort tonight. Waiting is part of his punishment.” -He is beginning to feel bad about what he has done and feels the need to punish himself for it.

Change Conrad exploded from holding in many things, Stillman taunting him was the tip of the iceberg. He begins to feel guilt again.

Major conflict The major conflict in this chapter was Conrad fighting with stillman and lazenby questioning their friendship.
