Under what condition does mold grow the best? The question Under what condition does mold grow the best?

Background I chose to grow mold for my science fair project because I wanted to know what mold looks like if my bread gets moldy at home. I thought if I learned where mold grew faster, I could keep it from happening to the bread I eat.

Hypothesis If I place a slice of bread in a warm wet place, When mold will grow faster?

Variables Independent: 3 conditions Dependent: mold growth Control: bread, bags, and conditions

Procedure 3 slice of bread,bags,water,dark place,cold place,and a warm wet place.

Data

Conclusion My question was under what condition does mold grow best. First we take a piece of bread leave bag open and put it in the window sill. Then take piece of bread put it in the baggy leave the baggy open and leave it in the dark cabinet. Then take piece of bread put it in the bag and put it in the window and add a teaspoon of water to the bag every day. Finally check your examples for mold everyday.

Conclusion pg.2 After i did my experiment what we did was everyday put a teaspoon of water in a bag then check the bag in the cabinet and the one with water and the other bread with no water in the window sill everyday up to 10 days. My data does not compare to my hypothesis was “if i place a slice of bread in a warm wet place, then it will mold faster” so my data does not support my hypothesis because no mold grew. What i learn was that it does not matter what condition mold can grow in.

Conclusion Pg.2 The problem we had in my mold test is that no mold didn’t grow. What we would do differently is we will add a teaspoon of milk instead of a teaspoon of water.
