Revolutionary War Buildup The unjust taxation of the people and several other acts led to discontent by the colonists The Loyalists (Tories) were supporters of British rule in the colonies The Tories were against some of the violent actions that the patriots were doing against the laws and restrictions of British The patriots were heavily against British Rule
