By: Niesha, Abigail, Jonisha Guided Vehicles By: Niesha, Abigail, Jonisha

What task does your robot perform? A guided vehicle is mostly used to move heavy things.

Where is the robot used? A guided vehicle is mostly used in industrial applications manufacturing facility.

Is the robot end effector multi-functional? It is not multi-functional. It moves heavy things from the starting point to the destination.

How is the robot taught to perform its task? There is a chip inserted into it that programs it, and shows it where to go.

What sensors does the robot have and how does the robot use those sensors? It can use markers , wires, vision, or lasers. Which track where to go.

Name some advantages and disadvantages of using a robot to complete this task? Some advantages is that you can lift heavy things which will need multiple workers to move , who will have to stop their job to help all the time. It can be programmed to do different tasks. Some disadvantages is that it can stop working which can result in a failure in whatever your doing, or damaging to packages, its carrying.

Describe the impact that this robot has had or could have on its intended audience? It helps people do their job easier and it helps them do things faster.

What type of jobs/careers can this robot create to provide employment for people You can have someone who helps it “think” on its own and not need a person to manually pick things up. Also someone that makes the chips that go inside it. Other than that it really doesn’t help people in the community.
