Project assessment Due week 38 – 22nd September 2017 Inspirational People

Warm Up Today is we gonna get started on are projekts. (5) ---conscientious---

Choose a person Choose someone from an English speaking country that you find inspirational. It can be someone very important (leader of a country) or someone more personal (musician, sports person, explorer, politics, environmentalist, women’s rights, animal rights…)

Research your person As a minimum, gather the following (remember--detail can make the difference between grades): 5 facts about their personal life 1 quote 2 things that you find inspirational

PEE paragraphs--rubric--relating to your own experience Point--why they are inspirational Evidence--short description of something they have done Explanation--how this has affected me, what I think and feel

PEE example I think Nelson Mandela is inspirational because he is forgiving. When he first came to office he said to one of his bodyguards, “Reconciliation starts here. Forgiveness starts here.” This is inspirational because instead of telling people to fight and continue being angry he believed he should bring them together. In my experience a lot of people think mostly of themselves and how they can hurt people and get back for wrongdoings. If I am discriminated against as an immigrant and a woman, I know that I am stronger by not responding in anger. I feel maybe a little of what he was feeling and respect him for teaching others to do the same.

Assembling the poster ”It always seems impossible until it is done” Write a paragraph about the life of your person (use the 5 facts) Write 2 PEE paragraphs (use the 2 inspirational ideas) Use the quote and their name as your poster title You may use one picture You may use additional interesting facts or symbols on your page (for example: flag, company logo) ”It always seems impossible until it is done”

Warm up There are always something you can do to rise awareness in a issue thats important to you. (5) ---highlight--
