Button, Button IN THIS SHORT STORY, A MAN AND A WIFE LIVE A COMFORTABLE LIFE. ONE DAY, THEY RECEIVE A MYSTERIOUS PACKAGE WHERELIES A BUTTON UNIT. A NOTE IS ATTACHED THAT EXPLAINS THAT A MAN WILL KNOCK AT THEIR DOOR AT 8 PM. THE MAN WILL PRESENT A PROPOSAL: "If they push the button, somewhere in the world, someone they don't know will die. In return for which they will receive a payment of $50,000."

A Moral Dilemma A moral dilemma can be defined as a situation that will often involve an apparent mental conflict in which each possible course of action will breach some binding moral principle.
