Carbon Review Carbon is an element found inside the body of every living thing. Carbon also helps to form carbon dioxide or CO2. CO2 is produced by cellular respiration and used by photosynthesis.

Carbon Review The formula for cellular respiration is: C6H12O6 + 6O 6H2O + 6 CO2 + ATP energy The formula for photosynthesis is: 6H2O + 6 CO2 + light energy  C6H12O6 + 6O2. Carbon is also found in gases like methane and in fossil fuels like oil.
