What is biology? It is the study of life.

Then how do we define LIFE? Let’s see.. WHAT CHARACTERISTICS DO YOU THINK A LIVING THING MUST HAVE?

3.CELLULAR ORGANIZATION (Made of one or more cells) 4. DISPLAYS ORGANIZATION (cells –> tissues –> organs –> systems –> organism)

6. REQUIRE ENERGY run the processes of life (take in food or make own)

7. Grow & develop– Bigger in mass and abilities

8. ADAPTATIONS (change occurs over time to aid survival)
