Key ideas it is important to understand the thoughts and feelings of other people; it is important to recognise when your child is getting worked up; it is important to try and keep calm when your child is getting worked up; •listening to your child is important; children can be taught to solve their own problems peacefully. 1

One of our most important responsibilities as parents is to listen to our children, hearing not only the words, but the feelings behind the words…... 6

It is important to use your thinking brain when you are angry! Laura Aged 8 Anyone can become angry - that is easy. But to be angry, with the right person, to the right degree, at the right time, for the right purpose, and in the right way - this is not easy.. Aristotle 7
