Choose two of the following three questions. Answer on loose-leaf. You must answer all parts of the question completely and accurately to receive full credit. Who were the muckrakers? What did they want and how did they work to achieve it? Name one muckraker and explain what they did as an example. What were the goals of the Progressive Movement? What social and political problems did they hope to fix? What were some specific ways the Progressives worked to fix these problems. Compare and contrast the first and second wave suffragists. What did they believe was the best way to obtain the women’s right to vote (explain the plans)? How were their tactics different? (A complete compare/contrast answer considers both sides equally. For example, “Side X believed this, but side Y disagreed because of ABC.”)
